Changelog

What changed

One line per user-visible change. Fixes and reversals alike. If there's an entry within the last 7 days, the home page shows a "new" mark.

2026-09-27v304

  • HomeThe home page now shows total visits, page views and how many are reading right now. These count access records as logged, crawlers included — which is why they say "visits", not "visitors".
  • SharingAdded LINE sharing on the Japanese pages and Reddit on the English ones — where links actually travel in those places.

2026-09-24v303

  • APIFree accounts can now issue an API key. The docs said so all along and the server was already honouring free keys (100 calls a day) — only the button on the account page was hidden from free accounts. Fixed after a reader wrote in. See it →

2026-09-17v302

  • OverseasFor two days the overseas measurement was skipping K-travel and K-food: axes with no overseas seeds were being read as "the road is blocked". Fixed — and the four empty axes (sports, weather, games, books) now have overseas seeds of their own. See it →
  • HomeThe track-record strip now says what its counts cover: every version of the scoring rules, which is not the same number as the current rules' hit rate.

2026-09-16v301 · v300 · v299 · v298 · v297 · v296

  • KeywordsWords that come back now carry a run count — a badge on the board, and on the keyword page, how many separate runs and how long it was gone before this one. A word that trends once is an event; a word that comes back is a current.
  • GlossaryGlossary candidates now include words that stayed on the board three days or more, not just what's on it right now, and draft definitions run every two hours instead of every six. The rule stands: nothing is published without two independent sources. See it →
  • HomeThe home page now carries a track-record strip: days recording the board, calls graded, misses published, corrections logged. The miss count sits at the same size as the rest.
  • NotificationsUpdates now ride along in the morning digest email and in the RSS feed. We didn't add a separate announcement email — it goes into the letter you already get. See it →
  • CitingHome, early radar and glossary pages now end with a one-line citation — the fact, the source name, the KST time and the URL in one sentence — so answer engines carry our name with our numbers. See it →
  • BillingFailed payments now record why: the card issuer's reason, cancellations, and closing the payment window — so support answers from the record, not a guess.
  • Early radarThe hit rate is shown as a percentage only after 30 graded calls. Before that we show the graded and hit counts as they are — a percentage from twenty calls can't tell luck from skill. See it →
  • StatusCommunity-mention collection was running, but the status page said "community: off". The retired board scraper (RSS discontinued) and the mention collector are now labelled separately. See it →
  • ChangelogThis page now exists. Every user-visible change will be recorded here, one line each. See it →
  • Korea from outsideOverseas-interest measurement was running six times every morning; it now runs once per axis per day. Axes with too thin a sample fall back to alternate anchor terms. See it →

2026-09-15v295

  • Korea from outsideEight overseas-interest tables that had been stale for four days are updating again. YouTube request spacing now matches the proven value, and the stop-after-repeated-failure guard actually works. See it →

The reasoning behind each change is in the corrections log on the method page. Method →
